New partnership with Salling Group

føtex og Bilka enter historic partnership with Tjele Gods

Organic products from Tjele Gods will soon grace the shelves of all føtex and Bilka stores. Tjele Gods is on a mission to create Denmark's leading organic farm, making this collaboration a perfect fit for føtex and Bilka's ambitions to expand their organic product range.

For decades, føtex and Bilka have been adapting their product selection to meet customer needs and demands. Now, they are launching a new strategic partnership with Tjele Gods, setting new standards for the future of organic retail. The product range is extensive and will include carrots, parsnips, dairy products, baked goods, and beef.

- We are very excited to introduce customers to the organic products from Tjele Gods. Organic quality and health are key values for føtex and Bilka, making the new products from Tjele Gods a perfect match for our stores, says Rikke Lynggaard, Category Director at Salling Group, and continues:
- Tjele Gods are innovative in their approach and does not compromise on either organic principles or the quality of their raw materials. This mindset aligns perfectly with føtex and Bilka.

For us, it is essential to cultivate and produce organic food, as we believe this helps ensure better conditions for nature, animals, and people. Sine transitioning to organic farming, we have worked purposefully toward offering high-quality organic products to consumers. That's why it was a natural step for us to initiate a dialogue with føtex and Bilka early on. From the very beginning, it has been a great match. Our values align well, and the collaboration has provided us with valuable insights into customer needs and demands – insights we are excited to meet. We are now working to transform this knowledge into great products that we hope føtex and Bilka customers will love, says Ditlev Lüttichau, owner of Tjele Gods.

Økoplus taken to new heights

Together with Tjele Gods, føtex and Bilka aim to offer Danes inspiring and healthy products while embracing an unprecedented focus on organic farming – where production is designed to operate in the most closed-loop organic system possible. The core philosophy at Tjele Gods is to be self-sufficient in nutrients by utilizing livestock manure, composted plant material, and other residual products. As a result, animals play a crucial role in supplying nutrients to the organic crops at Tjele Gods. Vegetables and grains will be fertilized 100% organically.

In general, the production methods go a step beyond what organic regulations require. This innovative and forward-thinking approach aligns perfectly with Salling Group's ambitions and the retail group's ASPIRE28 strategy, which aims to take Salling Group to the next level through innovation and new ways of thinking.

- Organic production is essential when we select our range of vegetables, dairy products, baked goods, and meat, and this principle is deeply rooted at Tjele Gods.

Products from Tjele Gods are expected to hit the shelves in the fall of 2025. The new product range is yet another example of føtex and Bilka's commitment to creating inspiring, innovative, and healthy shopping experiences for their customers.
